How Does Remote Bioenergy Healing Work When the Therapist Is Not Physically Present

Bioenergija na daljinu – žena tijekom bioenergetske terapije i procesa opuštanja u vlastitom domu.

When someone contacts me for the first time and asks how bioenergy therapy can work remotely, they are rarely asking only one question.

Behind that question is usually an attempt to understand whether they can accept something that does not correspond with the way they have learned to view the world.

Most of us have grown up believing that help must involve something we can see, touch, or measure. If our back hurts, we expect medication, massage, or a medical procedure. If we feel exhausted, we look for a physical cause. If we are recovering from illness, we want tangible evidence that something is happening.

For that reason, it is entirely natural to pause when first encountering the idea of remote bioenergy healing.

At the same time, people regularly experience influences they cannot see but whose effects they recognize clearly.

You enter a room where two people have just argued and immediately sense the tension, even though nobody has said a word. You speak with someone who is calm, stable, and fully present, and ten minutes later, you feel more settled than before the conversation.

A mother instinctively places her hand on her child’s stomach when the child has cramps, and the child may calm down before receiving any other form of support.

These examples are not the same as remote bioenergy therapy. However, they illustrate that human beings are sensitive to more influences than those we can immediately see or measure.

This is why the question of how energy can work across distance has never been the most important question for me.

What interests me far more is what I have observed through more than twenty years of working with people.

I have seen someone who had not slept properly for months finally sleep through the night after a series of sessions.

I have seen people who had felt exhausted for a long time gradually regain their energy and desire to participate in life.

I have worked with people going through demanding health conditions who wanted additional support for their bodies while continuing medical treatment and recovery.

I do not claim that science has provided final answers to every question surrounding remote bioenergy healing. It has not.

Research exists. Some studies have reported potentially interesting results, while others have found no significant differences. The field continues to be investigated, and the available evidence does not allow definitive conclusions about effectiveness for specific health conditions.

What I can say is that, for more than twenty years, I have observed the experiences of people receiving this form of energy work.

If someone had told me at the beginning of my career how many clients would one day receive bioenergy therapy from other cities, countries, and continents, I might have been skeptical myself.

Today, it feels entirely natural.

I do not have an answer to every question. I have, however, observed enough real experiences to know that, within the way I practice bioenergy therapy, physical distance does not prevent me from carrying out energy work.

How Does Remote Bioenergy Healing Work?

This is usually the point at which people expect a precise explanation.

They want to know how energy travels, which path it follows, and how it reaches someone hundreds or thousands of kilometers away.

After more than twenty years of practice, I have never felt the need to reduce everything to a theory. I am more interested in observing what happens in practice.

When someone attends an in-person bioenergy session for the first time, they often assume that the therapist’s physical proximity is the key to the process.

It is logical to think this way. Throughout our lives, we learn that an effect is produced through touch, medication, a procedure, or another form of physical intervention.

Energy work is approached differently.

A message can change your emotional state. A conversation can restore your hope or drain your energy for the rest of the day. One person can bring calm into a room, while another creates unease without doing anything visibly different.

Again, these examples are not equivalent to bioenergy therapy. They simply show how responsive people can be to different forms of influence.

For that reason, I have never seen physical distance as the central issue in energy work.

The condition of the person receiving the therapy has always been more important to me.

Over the years, I have noticed that people frequently want an explanation of the mechanism before allowing themselves to observe their own experience.

In the end, personal experience is what most often shapes their opinion. They are not convinced because they have decided to believe me. They begin paying attention to what changes in their sleep, energy, physical state, recovery, and everyday life.

When I began working more than twenty years ago, most people attended sessions in person. The internet was not part of everyday life in the way it is today, and working with people from other cities and countries was difficult for many to imagine.

Today, the situation is entirely different.

Over the years, I have worked remotely with people from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Canada, the United States, Australia, and many other countries.

Some of these people I have never met in person. Some contacted me following a family member’s recommendation, others after hearing about a friend’s experience, and some followed my work for months before deciding to take the first step.

Almost everyone initially asks the same question:

Can bioenergy therapy work when I am so far away?

After they have experienced the process themselves, our conversations are usually no longer about distance.

For someone who begins feeling better after a long period of difficulty, it becomes less important whether the bioenergy therapist is five kilometers or five thousand kilometers away. What matters is what they observe in their own life.

This is why it now feels completely natural to provide remote bioenergy therapy to people in different parts of the world.

After all these years, I am less fascinated by the distance between the therapist and the client than by the body’s ability to respond when it receives appropriate support, rest, and time.

What Does a Remote Bioenergy Therapy Session Feel Like?

One of the most common misconceptions about remote bioenergy therapy is the expectation that something spectacular must happen during the session.

People sometimes imagine that they will immediately feel a powerful wave of energy, warmth throughout the body, or another dramatic sensation that proves something is taking place.

Some people do experience distinct sensations. They describe warmth in particular areas of the body, tingling, pulsation, a sensation of energy flow, or deep relaxation.

Others experience lightness, drowsiness, or a sense of calm they have not felt for a long time.

There are also people who say that they noticed nothing unusual during their first session.

After working with both groups for many years, I can say that the intensity of sensations during the therapy does not reliably predict what a person may notice several days later.

Many of the body’s processes happen quietly. When you cut your finger, you do not consciously feel every stage of tissue repair. While you sleep, you do not feel every process through which the body restores and regulates itself.

A significant part of what sustains life takes place without continually demanding our attention.

Bioenergy therapy can be experienced in a similar way.

You do not need to achieve anything, visualize energy, or concentrate intensely. You only need to create a quiet environment in which you can relax and remain present.

Some people choose the comfort of their bed. Others sit in a favorite chair or play quiet music that helps them step away from everyday responsibilities.

The important thing is to remain undisturbed and allow yourself a period of rest.

What happens during the session is only one part of the experience. I pay greater attention to what a person begins noticing afterward.

Someone may sleep through the night for the first time in months. Another person may wake feeling more rested. Someone else may notice more energy during the day or recognize that situations which previously exhausted them no longer affect them in the same way.

People may also notice changes in the way their body handles recovery, daily activities, or prolonged strain.

Over the years, I have worked with people experiencing long-term exhaustion, chronic health concerns, demanding recoveries, and serious illnesses. In these situations, they used bioenergy therapy as additional support while continuing medical care and prescribed treatment.

Every person is different, and every body responds in its own way. There is no single pattern that applies to everyone, and it is impossible to predict an individual response in advance.

Sometimes people become aware of changes only several days or weeks later.

One person notices the return of appetite and strength after a prolonged period of exhaustion. Another begins moving more easily and managing daily activities with less effort. Someone feels that recovery is progressing differently, while another simply begins to feel more like the person they once were.

This is why I never evaluate a bioenergy session through one sensation or a single moment.

I am more interested in what happens in the days and weeks that follow and how the individual experiences their energy, sleep, physical state, and everyday life.

What Do People Most Often Notice After Remote Bioenergy Therapy?

There is no single experience that applies to everyone.

Each person arrives with a different history, health condition, level of strain, and set of expectations. No two people respond in exactly the same way.

After more than twenty years of practice, however, several experiences appear frequently.

Changes in Sleep

It is remarkable how many people begin treating poor sleep as something normal.

They wake feeling tired for years, struggle to fall asleep, wake repeatedly during the night, or feel in the morning as if they have not rested at all.

They become so accustomed to this condition that they stop recognizing it as a problem.

For that reason, I am always pleased when someone tells me they slept through the entire night for the first time in months or years.

Improved sleep is often one of the first changes people notice when their body begins settling into a calmer state. When sleep improves, people may also notice that they recover more easily, have more energy, and manage everyday pressure differently.

Changes in Energy Levels

I am not referring to a brief burst of motivation lasting several hours.

I am referring to the feeling that the body is no longer using all its available strength simply to maintain basic functioning.

People begin noticing that they move through the day more easily, have greater motivation for activities they previously postponed, and feel less depleted by ordinary responsibilities.

Changes During Recovery

Some people describe feeling that their body is recovering more easily than they expected or that particular difficulties gradually become less pronounced.

Others become aware of increased strength, improved mobility, or a greater ability to manage daily activities.

People rarely speak about energy as an abstract concept after therapy. They speak about their lives.

They say they can once again do things they had stopped doing, have more strength for their families, feel more comfortable in their bodies, or sense that their body is functioning more effectively.

Every experience remains individual.

Some people feel a great deal during the session, others very little, and some almost nothing. The absence of sensations does not allow us to conclude, based on that alone, how the person will experience the following days.

Sometimes the quietest processes are recognized only through changes that become visible over time.

Can Remote Bioenergy Healing Help During Illness and Recovery?

Many people researching remote bioenergy healing are looking for more than improved energy or sleep.

They are seeking additional support while facing a particular health challenge, recovering from illness, or going through a period in which their body is using a great deal of energy to maintain balance.

Over the years, I have met many people in these circumstances.

Some were recovering from surgery or medical procedures. Others had lived for years with chronic health concerns that gradually reduced their quality of life. Some were facing serious illnesses that had changed every aspect of their everyday lives.

Health begins to look different when the body is under significant strain.

A person becomes aware of how complex the human body is and how much energy it uses every day to maintain essential functions and balance.

I have never viewed bioenergy as a replacement for doctors, medical diagnosis, or treatment.

Throughout my career, I have remained a strong supporter of conventional medicine. Modern medicine is one of the greatest achievements of our time.

When a person experiences a serious injury, infection, or illness, they need qualified medical care. Diagnostic procedures, surgery, medication, and other medical interventions save lives every day.

At the same time, healthcare does not end the moment someone leaves a doctor’s office.

Recovery may then continue for weeks, months, or longer. The person observes their body from day to day and hopes that the process is moving in a positive direction.

The body must repair tissue, restore strength, adapt to treatment, and gradually re-establish functions disrupted by illness or medical procedures.

For this reason, many people choose complementary forms of support alongside medical treatment and recovery.

This is where I see the role of bioenergy therapy: as additional support for the body while it continues doing what it has always done—adapting, maintaining life, and working toward balance.

Health is never the result of a single factor. It is influenced by medical care, lifestyle, rest, emotional state, energy, environment, and the body’s ability to regulate and recover.

Bioenergy therapy does not replace any necessary medical procedure. Its role is complementary.

Continue taking prescribed medication, attending medical examinations, and following the advice of the qualified healthcare professionals responsible for your treatment.

What Does Scientific Research Say About Remote Energy Healing?

When discussing remote bioenergy therapy, people soon arrive at an important question:

Has this kind of work been studied scientifically?

Yes, different forms of biofield therapy, energy healing, and distant healing have been examined in scientific studies.

The results, however, are mixed.

Some studies have reported changes in stress, well-being, quality of life, pain, or other measured outcomes. Other studies have found smaller effects or no statistically significant differences.

Research methods also differ substantially in the type of intervention, number of sessions, participant populations, control groups, and measured outcomes.

A systematic review of noncontact biofield therapies found that some higher-quality trials reported beneficial outcomes. However, the authors emphasized that the studies were small and highly varied, preventing firm conclusions. Read the PubMed review

A more recent research map identified hundreds of studies involving different biofield approaches, including a smaller number examining remote or distant healing. The authors again identified inconsistent reporting and important gaps that require further research. Read the 2025 scoping review

Earlier systematic reviews focused specifically on distant healing reached more skeptical conclusions, with rigorous studies often failing to demonstrate a specific therapeutic effect beyond placebo. Read the systematic review

This means that remote bioenergy healing cannot currently be presented as a scientifically proven treatment for a particular disease.

I see no need to place personal experience and science in opposition to one another.

Science has the role of asking questions, testing assumptions, examining alternative explanations, and gradually building reliable knowledge.

Personal experiences are valuable because they show us what individual people notice in real life. They do not, by themselves, prove that bioenergy caused a particular medical outcome.

During more than twenty years of work, I have followed many people before, during, and after bioenergy therapy. Their experiences are meaningful to me, but I do not present them as scientific evidence or as a guarantee that another person will achieve the same result.

The most responsible position combines openness with discernment: respecting scientific evidence, continuing appropriate medical care, and observing personal experience honestly.

Why Are More People Choosing Remote Bioenergy Therapy?

When I began practicing more than twenty years ago, most people attended bioenergy therapy in person.

Physical presence was the form of work people knew and trusted. Remote services were not part of everyday life in the way they are today.

People now move because of work, family, and other life circumstances. They build new lives in different cities and countries while wanting to remain connected with people and approaches they trust.

Over the years, I have worked with people from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Canada, the United States, Australia, and many other countries.

Their lives and circumstances were different, but many of the reasons that led them to seek additional support were similar.

Some contacted me during recovery from illness or surgery. Some had lived for years with health concerns that gradually affected their quality of life. Others simply felt that their bodies no longer had the strength, resilience, and vitality they had once taken for granted.

Initially, distance is usually one of the first concerns.

Over time, attention shifts toward everyday experience:

  • How are you sleeping?

  • How much energy do you have during the day?

  • How is your recovery progressing?

  • How does your body feel?

  • How are you managing the challenges you are facing?

Distance then becomes less important.

Remote bioenergy therapy allows people to receive complementary energy work from their own homes, regardless of whether they live nearby or on the other side of the world.

Frequently Asked Questions About Remote Bioenergy Healing

Do I Have to Believe in Bioenergy for the Therapy to Work?

You do not need to arrive with a particular belief.

Some people begin the process with trust, others with curiosity, and some with a healthy degree of skepticism.

I do not ask anyone to believe a particular explanation. I ask them to create a quiet environment, follow the preparation instructions, and observe their experience over time without forcing a conclusion.

What if I Do Not Feel Anything During the Session?

That is entirely possible.

Some people experience warmth, tingling, pulsation, deep relaxation, or other physical sensations. Others notice nothing unusual during the session.

The intensity of a sensation does not determine the outcome. Pay attention to your sleep, energy, relaxation, physical state, and everyday functioning during the days that follow.

How Long Does a Remote Bioenergy Therapy Session Last?

A remote bioenergy therapy session lasts approximately 30 minutes.

You do not need a telephone call, video connection, or any other form of communication during the session.

Create a quiet space, sit or lie down comfortably, and remain undisturbed.

How Many Sessions Are Needed?

There is no universal number that applies to everyone.

Damir’s remote bioenergy therapy is organized as a cycle of three sessions held on three consecutive days.

Whether you choose to repeat a cycle depends on your circumstances, needs, and experience. No specific result or required number of cycles can be determined in advance.

Can I Receive Bioenergy Therapy While Taking Medication or Receiving Medical Treatment?

Yes, remote bioenergy therapy can be used as complementary support while you continue prescribed medication and medical care.

I am not a doctor. I do not diagnose illnesses, interpret medical test results, recommend stopping medication, or suggest changes to treatment prescribed by a healthcare professional.

Continue following your doctor’s instructions and attending all required examinations and treatments.

Can I Receive Therapy if I Live Outside Croatia?

Yes.

A large proportion of the people I work with live outside Croatia. Clients have received remote bioenergy therapy from countries throughout Europe and from Canada, the United States, Australia, and other parts of the world.

The remote format allows you to participate regardless of where you live.

How Will I Know Whether the Therapy Has Had an Effect?

Observe meaningful changes in your everyday life.

Pay attention to sleep, energy, relaxation, physical comfort, recovery, and the way you manage everyday strain.

Do not use subjective improvement as a reason to stop medication, cancel medical examinations, or change prescribed treatment without consulting your healthcare professional.

Personal Experience Is More Important Than Theory

Returning to the question at the beginning of this article, I recognize that the answer has never depended solely on explaining how remote bioenergy healing works.

What matters most to the individual is what they observe through their own experience.

For more than twenty years, I have followed people from different cities, countries, and life circumstances.

Some contacted me because of long-term health concerns. Others were recovering from illness or medical procedures. Some felt that their bodies no longer had the energy, balance, or vitality they once possessed.

The human body has a remarkable ability to adapt and recover. Sometimes it responds quickly, while at other times, it requires more time, appropriate medical care, rest, and patience.

I have always viewed bioenergy as complementary support within that broader process.

Health is shaped by many factors: qualified medical care, lifestyle, rest, emotional balance, energy, environment, and the body’s own regulatory and recovery processes.

This is where I see the place of bioenergy therapy and the reason it has become an important form of additional support for many people I have worked with.

If this article has answered some of your questions, I am pleased that it has helped.

If you feel ready to experience remote bioenergy therapy personally, you can learn more about the three-day process and apply through the website.

Sometimes personal experience provides answers that even the longest explanation cannot.
